How do all, just a question. I've just dropped off a mag flange for machining to take a lightened flywheel and was warned that the non Ducati lightened flywheels are notorious for ignition problems and known to break up at certain revs. Has anyone suffered these probs as I don't want to use it if that is the case. Opinions greatfully appreciated.

Have used an original AF Ducati one for over 30 years , not a problem at all.

can you define non duccati flywheels
because ive used indian ones lightend from 1.8 kgs -2.0kgs for almost as long as I can remember and ive never had one break up on several 240, s a ts1 a group4 race scooter and a group 6 race scooter plus anything in between

It's an afr flywheel so I imagine it's an Indian made one and weighs 1.449 kg if that helps

I'd suggest you use the "search" facility on here. There are a whole host of scooterists who have given up on these "AF Light flywheels" (the ones that resemble a Vega flywheel) myself included.

To give balance, there are others in regular use across the country.
