OK, it's not a scooter but I love it all the same

I saw this at a racing event at 3 sisters race track earlier this year (it wasn't racing, just parked up in the car park). From what I gathered it's only a single cylinder with one of the exhausts being a dummy. It's based on a 60s TT racer and was only produced in a handful and given as prizes by Honda to certain dealerships in the UK. The only thing I didn't like was the disc brakes as the original would almost certainly have run with drum brakes. I really, mean really wanted to have a ride on it but suspect I'd of been severely disappointed with the performance.
The Honda C50 holds a place in my heart being my first powered 2 wheels back in 1972, at the time I also fell in love with Lambrettas as a couple of school mates both had SX150s, which sadly I couldn't afford at the time on my pocket money.

a dealer here in york i know had one ,both pipes do work as the head is a twin port ,twin cam head often referred to as a Micky mouse head (work that out your self  )he did say he would never sell it but when asked he said some one made an offer he couldn't refuse ,they do look nice but most i feel will be ornamental

Mate's got about half a dozen SS50s. MOstly converted to 72cc, one is converted to 110cc. They dont go bad when he's played with them. He's also got a colelction of Honda S90's, Actually a cracking bit of kit, the S90.

Some of the 50cc racers from the 60s went really well....Itoms certainly didnt hang about!
