Sounds like you have the same concerns I had when fitting a 55 watt headlamp. I can't tell you what the current rating of the switches is, but have you considered fitting a relay? If you have dc it could solve your problem.

I was toying with the idea of converting to 55w bulbs, I was using standard halogen bulbs but they were still s**t so gave these a try off chiggy at lambretta upgrades http://www.lambrettaupgrades.co.uk/apps ... ow/5871559 bright as f**k even though their still only 35w....and I mean bright, EVERYONE (even MOT tester) keeps asking me "what the f**k is in that light" they really are bright, good light pattern too. I was that impressed I bought 2 more as spares
for just under a fiver I would give them a try

yes they have, great beam pattern (both dip and main beam) and stupidly bright for a 35w bulb, even the mot tester passed comment on how good/bright it was !shocky wrote:Have they got the metal shield inside as its hard to seePadge wrote:I was toying with the idea of converting to 55w bulbs, I was using standard halogen bulbs but they were still s**t so gave these a try off chiggy at lambretta upgrades http://www.lambrettaupgrades.co.uk/apps ... ow/5871559 bright as f**k even though their still only 35w....and I mean bright, EVERYONE (even MOT tester) keeps asking me "what the f**k is in that light" they really are bright, good light pattern too.
