Stator burning wires out

need some advice. Fitted a new stator and its burnt the wires out again, any ideas why?

Do you have a battery fitted ? and how quick is it burning the wires......when running, stationary, after an hour, days, etc. More info the better.

What kind of stator?
Specifically what wires are burning out?
By your post it's happened before so what parts have you changed and what have you kept the same?
