Looking for information concerning appropriate transmission oil for my Vespa P200e, I found this:
http://www.vespalabs.org/wiki/vespa-101 ... earbox-oil
After reading it a couple times and checking with a local auto parts store for the Castrol mentioned in the article, I have concluded that using some of the 30 weight for 2 cycle engines which I already have would do just fine for the transmission.
Have I overlooked anything? Thanks. Charles

SAE30 is fine as long as it's not an EP oil - it's bad for the phosphor bronze bush in the clutch

I was using Red Line 80W Motorcycle Gear Oil with Shockproof from opie oils but I'm now using
Motul Transoil Expert 10W-40
Motul Transoil Expert 10W-40
TS1 and PX stay in the garage (future barn finds) out on the GTS 300 when I go out on a scooter.
I know I’ll get there and back
