I've gone to install the petrol tank and it's got a bloody pin hole at the bottom where the strap sits. I didn't notice it when I painted it. It must of been sealed by the rubber buffer as there was fuel in the tank when I got it. Looks like I'll be getting the mig welder out then..

Just reading through this, great pics, looking good.10 inch Terror wrote:Before I close the casing up, I did remove the bottom screw and fitted a loctited stud and nyloc nut. Cheers mate.garry inglis wrote:hi 10inch i think i would put a tab washer on the pull down tensioner just to make sure
But,I think the reference to the tab washer is for the two securing bolts that hold the nylon pad on.Should have some really.

I've been mulling this over, and have now ordered a tab washer. When it arrives, I'll split the case and fit it. It'd only be in the back of my mind if I don't.dave411 wrote:Just reading through this, great pics, looking good.10 inch Terror wrote:Before I close the casing up, I did remove the bottom screw and fitted a loctited stud and nyloc nut. Ah yes, I see what you're saying now. I've ordered two tab washers. I'll fit one to the nylon guide bolts too. Thanks for that, I didn't think of that.dave411 wrote: But,I think the reference to the tab washer is for the two securing bolts that hold the nylon pad on.Should have some really.

Cheers Garry. I always paint them black and then rub the paint off the arrow and firing point mark. It helps to line everything up timing wise. Well it does for me anyway.garry inglis wrote:love the flywheel painted black

Are those Schwalbe Weatherman tyres? You're a brave man if they are.
