Just finished the below yesterday - well all except for a horncast badge ......
bought it as a frame only from ebay some 2yrs ago and is a birthday present for the old fella, it being on the 11th July - hence the number.
Wanted it to represent a sporting / clubmans type scoot in the early sixties....hope i've succeeded?

Lovely Ian, seriously, bet the old man will be very pleased for your generosity and the time you spent on it. Labour of love.
Isn't there something better than a nannucci on a Series 1... ?¿

I was in the same boat mate, thought they were hideous looking things until I saw Matts S1 (the one with the scalloped paint job) and of course my fav the one that knowledge originally had a hand in building the flip top jobby that’s now in matt black and looks v nice.

soulad you've done well there, is the darker colour a racing green colour /shade (cant quite tell on my puter)?

Dell oughta - thank you, well thank you all actually - kind words.
It is a dark metallic racing green - i pinched it from the bmw mini cooper range, kinda in keeping with the 60's theme.
Inside its a Suzi Wiseco pistoned stage 5, 28 mm dellorto, Clubman......so it should put a smile on his face.
Big thank you to Supereibar for the rare kickstart - cheers mate. ;)
