I've taken the gearbox endplate out of my gp150 to reshim the gearbox. The nuts and studs are all good but I was wondering does anybody use threadlock or nyloc nuts as a safety precaution when assembling?

I use spring washers and nuts without threadlock and torque to 10 to 12 LBS-FT.

Thanks HxPaul for the quick reply. This is the first time I've worked on a lambretta and I want to give it the best chance of working.

Use the correct NEW spring washers. Don't re-use the old ones, IMO. I had old ones come loose despite being torqued correctly.

Use thread lock on the studs into the case but not on the nuts to the studs
