Can someone please tell me the poundage (lb) on a rear shock spring?

Which one?

There are a lot of rear shocks, made by a lot of different companies over the last 50 years.

If I had to venture a guess, my BGM probably has around 160-180lbs spring pressure. Feels a lot like my Protec. Stronger than my 1963 LI shock but not as hard as my Yamaha R6.

Im fitting a fox shock and would like a spring around the standard sort off ballpark because compresion is adjustable.

what do People use on the R1 shock?

I supplied 100, s of these shocks I used to use 180,200, 225 and the odd 250 spring , im about 80kgs and used 180lbs
