I know they would be expensive but why doesn't anyone make a good pair of series 3 legshields. Trying to find a decent used set is getting bonkers.

Unfortunately, nothing fits like original. I tried 3 pairs of 'perfect fit' remade legshields, but none fitted as they should. I got my original set repaired in the end. This is why even battered sets hold their money so well.

I would hazard a guess that you would need a pretty big press and the means to produce the blank from which to make your perfect pressing. Then the edge needs rolling for the beading, and the bracket fitting.

The bottom line is that it would be too expensive.
Did you have to do that?
