Disappointed with BGM fitment.. Another job for the drill

Just come to fit my newly purchased BGM V3 exhaust to my series 2 tonight, I expecting an easy fit, I am very disappointed with the result. Seeing as there is plenty adjustment built into the brackets, and sliding rear pipe mount,

See below: (alais, the exhaust will not fit without some modifications...)

Image

Slots in brackets don't line up... Believe me I've tried (straining the exhaust to make them line up - not the way to go I know)... Also the chrome bracket doesn't lie straight/flat with the exhaust, so when the lower nut is tightened (see lower stud length, through bracket is shorter, even though the studs are the same length) the exhaust is twisted and the rear sliding 'U' clamp is forced out of line and can't be used.....

I really thought the days were coming to an end when the 'drill & dremmel' needed to come out to sort this rubbish out....

Anyone else had similar issues...??

Fed up with spending £100's on these items and they don't fit properly..... (I've had KBA clubmans fit better)

Simon Brace, please come back and make some proper exhausts for us all..... Yours fit, 1st time....

Pee'd off scooterist...!!

AL...

For balance, mine fitted beautifully.

Gt186 with no packers.

BGM is from the far east, isn't it?

It probably cost a cup of rice to make.

My vespa one was as equally shite.

uh oh. That could be the problem, you might need the modified swan neck? many of the 186muggys have this as a common issue due to the exhaust port machining.

I suspected as much.

Mugello fitment is a known issue from the V1 exhaust on and is well documented.

OK, just seen link and the available bracket to solve the problem... Wish I'd never bothered, more money, I bought the thing from scooter centre koln , wish it was mentioned in the description regarding the v2 mugello fitment. Strange how a clubman fits easily, and a scootRS expansion without any issues..
I'll just modify the existing bracket to suit the exhaust on my engine.

Regards... Still fed up scooterist....
