snapped stud

Any one had a BGM rt cylinder stud snap,my mate has just had one go whilst tightening it up from new, torque wrench set right as well.

yes ive had 4 break before 16 ft lbs. s**t, don't use them since.

Did you let the supplier know about it and did the single stud snap whilst doing up.

Was it a full length barrel stud or one of the additional short ones that screw into the barrel rather than the crankcase.

Also, I never use my torque wrench below about 35Nm as it seems very inaccurate. I've snapped a few smaller screws around 15 or 20Nm. Maybe they tend go out of calibration at the lower end?
