when I was building mine I just searched the interweb and came up with plenty of pictures of interest especially the ones from India

I opted not to do mine as straight API using f/g Italian style panels, Winter model mudguard, horncasting extensions etc - mine is a true bitsa which I love.

We drink fron the same cup, mine has dented turning mudguard, italian indian sidepanels. Italian horncast without extensions and spanish running boards, very raty... :D im 90% there with an rb engine just need a piston and reedblock. The frame is off to be blasted but not the loop, plan being to respray the whole frame rear mudguard, petrol tank and toolbox but have it ratty on the outside.
Only thing i want to changeis the indian steeringlock affaif. I have a pretty big gap between the top of the leggies and the headset.
Did api series 2,s have a chrome ring?

mine has a chrome (powder coated black now !) and all the ones i`ve seen have.

My steering lock is standard s2 but I had to get a longer steering lock pin made to engage in the chrome ring

SR have a API/Mac section but are low on parts now
