Im stripping down a api series 2 and have tried 2 sets of legshields but both are a good half inch from the tops of the front strut. I have had a look at the weld around the front struts and whilst not super neat they do look factory. Did series 2,s have a bigger rubber spacer or is it just a case of bad welding/poor positionin?

I started with a bare frame and got a pair of leggies via a mate that were "indian" - the profile is definitely not API Lamby 150 or Mac more like an Italian S2 but a bit more rounded on the shoulders.
I had nothing to compare to and there was a big gap between them and the front strut which I just took up with a couple of rubber washers.
