The switch is loose on my GP and won't 'click' into either position. Is this a sealed unit or can you prize it open with a screwdriver to investigate...???

It has 2 brass tubes that the screw passes through, the ends are turned over like a hollow rivet to hold the plastic back plate to the shiney cover. You can drill one end of the rivet bit out and separate the bits. you may well find a ball bearing have dropped out or it may go ping, sometime an internal brass pillar comes loose from the plastic backplate. its a doable job with a bit of care. You can buy brass tube from a model making shop and redo the rivet if you feel the need

Yeh, I've drilled the rivets and there's a brass roller that I can makes the contact and a spring. I can see that roller moves up and down the contact for dip and beam but can't figure how the spring sits in the switch..?? Time for eBay tat!!!
