Missfire on S2

Ive just recommissioned my S2, she starts , ticks over, runs to a point well BUT if shes rev'ed quite hard she has a slight miss fire/back fire, Ive not replaced the points or condenser though ive cleaned and gaped the points hoping this would be enough, as i dont know when it last ran would it be worth replacing the points and condenser ???? plug, lead and cap are new and all connections are clean and in good order!!! It does have a good clean spark but im thinking the condenser could well be breaking down ???

The points and condenser are cheap enough to replace................and if thats not your problem at least its two things crossed off the list that can cause bad running.

Bit of home work and checking the points while engines running/rev'd the points seem to be arcing ALOT !!!! large blue spark !!!
Ive just had delivered replacement points and condenser.....fingers crossed...

What a difference, new points and condenser from camlam fitted and missfire now full-fire......now for some abuse...
