BGM Rear Shock Problem

I've heard of a few failing at the seals in the last month and leaking to various degrees (one with disastrous effect). Has this fault been tracked down to a batch? Has the fault been fixed/design improved or is it a case of proceed with caution?
Anyone using the Protech unit avilanble from Lambretta Innovation?

I believe that the BGM problem has been solved.
Last year I took one from LTH (Germany) and when I fitted it it leaked from the first ride.
They replaced it with a new one,and for the last months (daily use) it works fine.

It would appear it hasn't been fixed as the last two I heard of were new this month

Yes but they might have used the old stock.
I mentioned LTH,as they know the problem and have taken in stock the last batch

So how can you tell and why hasn't there been a recall?

Don't know the answer,
I guess that, they were hoping that not all the early ones were faulty.
I don't have any connection with LTH

The manufacturer of this shock is ScooterCenter Koln not LTH.

I know.
LTH had the shocker out of stock for a long period.
I know cause I was waiting for the replacement,
when the new ones came,
they send one to me.
