I always stand astride and push it forward off the stand with my pelvis.
Pull it on from the side.

If your taking it off, (standing mag flange side) put your right foot flat on the floor in front of the nearest stand foot and then push forward holding the handle bars. Will work.... Same principle for putting on apart from you put the foot behind and pull

Don't be tempted to ride off with the stand down....

If it's difficult at all, it's likely your stand is knackered.
How bad is it?

Once these extra long legged indian stands are strained they are not easy to push over centre.
