My TS1 won't tickover and if I hold throttle very slightly open it races and four strokes. No air leaks and choke seating properly. Could damaged reed petals give these symptoms?

I have had the carb apart a dozen times or more so I think it is clean. That doesn't answer my question about yhe reed petals.wack 63 wrote:Try cleaning the idle circuit out.

When was the last time you had it running right Rich and have you done anything to it since then?
Can you try another carb off one of your other scoots?
Whats your ignition set up?

Pretty sure it isn't as the slide is opening and closing fully as it should. The only thing I can say is that the tickover screw doesn't seem to have any effect on the engine speed. I can only adjust the tickover with the outer cable. The revs don't come down quickly at all and when I do get it to tick over it just suddenly cuts out.Toddy wrote:Is it a Throttle cable issue ?
