Mates restoring an sx150 fitted with an imola. The brake cable doesn't seem to want to go the normal route. Do you route it over the carb reed valve?

Correct goes over the top, however due to this it comes up slightly short, i just used one of the extended top hat cable ferrule at the brake end, sorted, about £5 of flee bay

Thought so just looks so wrong. Cable is long enough to fit into both ferrules. Thanks for the reply. Graeme

I also have an Avanti head on my TS1 and this thread had me wondering, just checked and I routed mine under the carb. If I had gone over it would have got in the way of the plug cap :?

Mines on a rb so carbs in the way, just missed the plug. I run my gear cables through the frame as theres just to much going on under the legsheilds. Works welll.

My two penneth.
RB Avanti head TMX 35 on an LTH manifold. I have to route mine around the carb. Extra top hat at both ends of cable. Looks shite and feels wrong but works. Can't see it with the panels on.
