Best coating for new exhaust?

Anything related to Lambrettas... ask tech questions, post helpful info, or just read and learn.

I have new exhaust coming and would like to try and prevent it from rusting. I don't want to chrome it, anyone tried anything which works and lasts? Thanks in advance Mick T

Ceramic coat it. Most shops can do pretty much any color.

I have a factory italian exhaust done in silver ceramic on my LI going on 10 years. No rust or flaking.

I had a pipe ceramic coated by Zircotec last year... cost was about £120.00 + p+p from memory, so makes it an expensive exhaust - but you get a top quality finish. http://www.zircotec.com/page/motorbike_exhausts/155
