if its one of the cheap ally 185 kits id check the ports 1st . I sent one back the other week as the manifold wouldn't seal on inlet due to too much being removed from the port and the bottom of transfers were a good 5mm above bottom of exhaust port.

hope this helps..a few I have done have all been around 40 slide, 50 pilot av 264/266 x7 top or second clip 116/120 (with filter) 120-125 (open) all have run various expansions and been cleaned up and/or slightly ported etc. but should give you a good starting point
but as Bazza says some of them are shocking quality (mainly exhaust port height) so need to be checked thoroughly before you fit them

It is Bazza..... i did speak to a friend with regards to the kits and he said be careful too... But i only paid pennies for it and it has been used so has miles on it !!!!! ive tidied up the ports and the inlet manifold seals fine and fitted new ring pieces ..Thanks
Thanks for the info padge...
Im not intending on it being a fast resto machine just something loud and filthy dirty ....would it be an idea to up gear it at all ??? as it will be running standard Li150 gearing ??
thanks

I would have thought standard Li 150 gearing would be fine, one I've just done had an sx150 box, 22mm jetex and went like a stabbed rat till you hit 4th then it died on its arse, so put a standard Italian Li 150 box (15/46) and a pwk 28 in and its spot on now, quick off the mark yet sits at 60 with enough in reserve
