26mm delorto help

Stage 4 200 with a 26mm delorto running fine apart from when I stop and restart 10 min later,will fire up but when I open the throttle it just ticks over.the slide is working up and down???,near pefect apart from this prob,timming checked,air filter cleaned,any ideas.Thanks

could be the low tension coil on stater

has the circlip come off the needle, and the needle stays in the nozzle when the slide goes up ?

I'd say it's flooding the air filter with spitback. Try turning the petrol off a minute or two before cutting the engine, then when you restart after a while, rev it before turning the fuel on and see if this helps.

Thanks for your help,the bike will start after a while,so will check the needle circlip,the filter is just one of those small viet pit bike types as it looks neat on my cutdown,so will try turning fuel of earlier if can.

try riding bike with air filter on, disconnect it from carb when trying to restart, if it starts/revs clean straight away....there's yer problem, spit back in filter/elbow.
