Hello. I am after advice/recommends for the above piece of kit from ScootRS. Has anyone got any experience with parts from this company? Has anybody fitted this carb? My set up is going to be Harry Barlow 207, JL pipe with a standard del 24mm carb at the moment. Will this carb from ScootRS be any good?

Thanks in advance

I like them. Easy to set up; spares available. I have the bigger one but all that probably does is growl a bit more and use more petrol.
Been running mine for 6 - 7 years now without problems.

Col,

Why are you fitting this carb? Is it just for looks or is your standard carb fooked? The reason I ask is that the standard carb will run fine with the HB 207 (obviously once it's been upjetted).

Here's a link to a previous thread when I was getting mine done;

(There's even some morse code in there for you 'cause I know you like that kind of stuff!)

Mines been running since then with no issues, daily to work, rallies etc with that set up.

Hello Buster..

Hope all is well with you??

I am not 100% sure if my carb is ok.. I have done a few rebuilds on the carb, lapped the bottom as it was really warped and still looks like fuel/oil splash on rear wheel, but I did forget to lap the bottom of carb box, which is another job for when I get home and before fitting the kit.. I was asking about the carb for maybe a bit more umph, but I was going to run it with standard Si carb to start with to see how I get on..
