So as mentioned previous. I'm new to this scooter world..
Riding this lambretta,, apply the front brake and it dives better than Tom daily!!!
So..... I'm thinking better dampers would help this? If so which ones???

Most dampers only damp the rebound (extension) so won't help the diving issue at all.

Better or progressive springs might help more but they all dive a bit unless you go down the anti-dive bracket route, usually with a hydraulic disk.

It shouldn't be that noticeable with a decent set of springs. Do you know if they've been changed or not?

I'm sure Scootopia do front dampers which work on compression AND rebound. Not expensive either if I recall.

The dampers don't ever seem to do much so I wouldn't bother with the expensive ones. The springs seem to make the biggest difference IMO.

i would second rosscla and say inti-dive is the way to go, its the future, much better than hard springs and dampers, my rb250 is going to get converted to anti-dive next.

Hi . When i got my GP 4 years ago it pretty much bottomed out under hard braking . I fitted a new set of springs from scooter restos and this improved it a lot. As mentioned above you can buy progressive springs from various outlets which im sure would improve it even more. Eventually i fitted a hydraulic disc with anti dive so with my set up the standard springs work fine. Cheers. Baz.
Ps. Most standard dampers do only dampen on rebound.
