Should the threads on these racks fit straight into the four holes? i have tried fitting the rack to both my restored and unrestored series 2's but the rack doesn't fit. The rack is a stainless steel scoot rs rack. Here's two photo's so you can see what i mean.

The only way I could see that fitting is if you bend the rack.

The thing is its stainless steel and it doesn't bend easily. Just wondering if anybody else has had the same problem fitting their sprint rack?

Send it back to scootRs with these photos and tell them you've tried it on two scooters and it doesn't fit.

Looks like it belongs in the pile of useless scrap that Ive bought over the years in the corner of my garage. Send it back, for crying out loud its not the most sophisticated thing to measure and get right is it?

If you hacked off the studs sticking out, and drilled into the rack, put a thread in the other way, would it fit? You could then use bolts from underneath. Bit of a mission.. but a couple of hours' work, rather than fuckabout sending things around the world, taking weeks in the process.

Great suggestion mate but not for me. I bought it off a British supplier so it's easier to send it back rather than re design it to fit.
