This may help with the rally reports.......

"Met up with fat bill on his rb950 and Jim the mod on his fully chromed rally for the 400 mile trip. Did first 200 miles in an hour until bill holed a piston at 234 mph in third on the fast lane on some motorway. Repaired in a couple of minutes with a coke can, cigarette paper and a bungee cord. Luckily we were only a mile from Watford Gap so consumed the obligatory bacon butty and smoked a few tabs. Filled up with fuel from shell garage and holed my piston 2 miles up the road, must be modern fuel issues. Jumped on with Jim after calling Aunty Carol.

Made good time and actually got to the rally before the rain started. Oh, forgot the bit where you mention rain was forecast but it turned out to be a dry run in temperatures in excess of 40 degrees.

Put up tent, beers all day with old mates, parts fair sold cups and t-shirts, custom show full of people who couldn't build a lego house let alone a scooter but could pay for someone who could, listened to the ska band and fell into tent at 5.

UP at 5.20 for trip home, sober as a judge, and made real good time.

Look forward to doing the same again next year when the rally will be called something, something 6. This years as something, something 5!

Oh and took lots of pics of fat mods/skins/scooter boys suitably attired in modern classics, male and female and the odd scoot.

DId I mention cars on site?!

Good luck with change of career, hope it goes well.

[quote="mick1"]Will the Dyno still be available ?
The nearest Dyno operator would be Mick Abbey in Starbeck near Harrogate. From dyno to exhaust systems and everything in-between he's really worth a shout. Give him a call on 07802896102 ;) ;)
Perhaps he would make a good subject for an article Dan ?
