PHBH anti-surge washer

I have never had one of these on a PHBH carb before, are they useful?

They come factory fitted on PHBH carbs. I've read pros and cons for them so was none the wiser.

I tossed mine a while back and it's never been an issue. The washer helps if you're doing motorcross style jumps and such.
