oil leak ?

hi, i have posted this problem before and was advised it could be coming from the exhaust stub, would tightening cure this or do i need to replace the gasket ?. thanks, Mick.

If it's from the slip joint there is nothing you can do, other than replace it if it's worn. However if it's leaking from the gasket that should be replaced immediately.

The double tube stubs are the best to seal with hi temp RTV but the single stub ones are the worst as very often the joint is a loose fit and the single spring pulls the pipe at an angle. Best method I've found is to fit another sleeve to go round the pipe like the JL stubs and to weld extra lugs on to fit a spring both sides so it pulls the pipe up square.
