If you are using a standard Lambretta type horn? A quack is about as good as it gets. I would imagine there are better motorcycle horns out there somewhere.

Does everyone go around honking their horns? The only time you need one is MOT time :D

If you go DC with a Wassel you don't have to have a battery. I ran both of mine without but did fit a small capacitor about the size of a fat AA battery, It ran a standard beep type DC horn but not enough to run air horns till I fitted small alarm batteries. Its such a simple fix and leaves the door open to other applications like LEDS that work. I have batteries on both now and the only problem I have had is leaving the lights on in the shed that deep drained the battery and it would not take a charge from the bike. It still worked but the lights would dim in a few minuets. You can get chargers that will recharge a battery in that state but they cost more than a new battery and it was 4 years old anyway.
