Got a GP150 engine bored to 175 and ported by Dave Betts (rip) with a scorpion pipe currently fitted with an old 28mm dellorto that runs but is not set up properly and looks rough anyway on a new engine so made my mind up to buy a new carb. Whats my best bet for this engine for smoothness, ease of set up/parts and value for money.?

It will still be ok with the 28mm Dellorto but just get a new one as there cheap as chips.Ive got a spec for this if you need it,just send us a pm or something.Or a TMX27 Mikuni.I personaly wouldnt run a 22mm through airbox but they are popular if you want original looks but if you have panels on then it doesnt realy matter.

PM if nec.

i ran af stage 4 175,scorpion pipe,li 150 box,15 tooth front sprocket with a pwk 24mm flatslide,it was easy to set up,similar to a mikuni and the engine was quick for a 175,good little carb, small and light, and cheap, and you wont have to worry about the carb falling off or splitting the rubber, the carb rubber should last forever due to the lightness of the carb, cheers all.

Spend the extra and get the Delly.....quality is better, spares are plentyfull, and known jetting settings are easier to come by.
