Hi all, anyone know how to wire up the electrics to test run a lammie with electronic ignition on a test bed?

I thought it was the green wire from the stator to either green terminal on the CDI, with the yellow wire coming out of the CDI wire to earth. Tried it this way and I get no spark.

Confused! :?

Red white and green off the stator to the cdi , thr yellow is the lighting wire which normally goes to the reg .

you should have 4 wires coming out of stator, red to red, white to white, green to green all on CDI tape the other wire up that's the power for the lights, connect another wire to the spare green on CDI and use that to earth out and shut engine off, don't do what i did and not bother, the engine started and revved its nuts off.
The spare green wire needs to touch the engine to earth it out and stop it.

Ok cheers guys- what about the yellow coming from the CDI, does it need to go to earth on the engine?

Ment to say that when your in your shed and the engine is revving its nuts off and very noisy you do tend to flap a bit.
short wire from CDI to earth (engine)
