how long have you got out of a plug in a tyre?

Hi,
picked up a small nail in my rear tyre, off the main contact patch but not in the sidewall. Tyre is almost new, tubeless and expensive. I plugged it. The instructions and any how to videos for liability reasons always say only drive slowly and replace immediate. I'm wondering if anyone has any practical experience, how long did you use a plugged tire, when did it start to leak air, etc. .

As its my rear, I'm not panicking, just want to get feeling for how long I can push it. A few years ago I was putting green slime in my tyres and ran hard for 2 months after I pulled a nail out of my rear tyre. I assume a plug with rubber cement on it is going to be better than green slime.

Thanks
David

Had one in rear BMW car for 2000 miles without problem. Passed its first MOT last month. Obviously missed it.
I know people will say Nooooo !! but I put 3 in one car tyre when we ran over a builder's discarded nails. Worked perfect.
I use the tacky dry fit ones and also keep Holts Tyreweld in my scooter and my cars.

If it were mine I would replace it immediately, your life could depend on it.At least on a car you have another 3 wheels if it goes and you wont fall off,on a scooter if it goes theres a good chance you'll fall off.

I had a puncture days after a new tyre on my gts small nail in center I was going to slime it that weekend I slimed it that nite put 50 psi in it and rode round the block left it overnight then next morning dropped the pressure used it till it was bald , not suggesting any of the above , when you say expensive tyre what brand becouse most are sub 30 quid ?
id probably not do it on a lammy because the side walls are high and even with tubeless rims ive still seen the tyre fold over , I have how ever had 2 high speed blow outs on autos and the tyres stayed on the rims due to tjere stiffer side walls and lower profile

If it's plugged correctly I don't see what the issue is - if it wasn't safe tyre shops wouldn't do it.

I've run repaired tyres for thousands of miles and never had an issue.

Any tyre is as good as the next nail that goes in it.
