I'll shortly be taking delivery of a Series 2 LI 125, which I believe is completely standard. Eventually I plan on making a few upgrades along the same lines as I've done on my Series 3 (BGM RT195, big bore exhaust, bigger carb, etc.).
Until funds allow, I'm thinking of fitting some bits I've got in my "take-off box", which from memory are a standard Series 3 LI 150 top end, a cheapo AF Clubman and a 22mm Jetex carb.
My first question is would these parts from a Series 3 fit a Series 2 without modification, and the second is would I gain any meaningful performance improvement, or should I just leave it as-is until I can run to some "proper" upgrades?
Thanks in advance!
Would this be worth doing?

Thanks Coaster - I'm not expecting miracles, but I was just thinking that those parts must make some kind of difference, so it's better that they're on the scooter than sitting in a box in the garage.

I think that would be a nice upgrade for relaxed use it might be undergeared but it depends were you going to use ot most groups are often slower as is around the city , just check you have a 150 slide in your carb you might find the 200 slide boggy mid range and be tempted to under jet the main

Thanks Shocky. The rides I'm likely to go on with this scooter certainly won't involve any motorway use, so I should be OK.
The Jetex came from Rimini, and was supplied as set up for a Casa 185 kit, so not sure what's inside it. Is there an easy way of identifying it?

To answer my own question, I've just opened the Jetex - it has the slide without a cut-out, which I believe is the 200 version. Do I need to replace that with the cut-out version for the 150?
The jets currently fitted are 140 main, with the other two being marked 50. Could someone give me a ballpark set of jet sizes to start with on a standard 150 top end with an AF Clubman?
Sorry for all the questions, just trying to be as frugal as possible with these upgrades!

Somewhere around 110 main and then up or down from there.

Thanks Chris, I'll get some jets ordered.
Anyone know about the carb slide (with or without cut-out)?

It is the cut out type but you can try the 200 one personally id jet it as per gp150 and go down on the main if needed , but jetting for one scooter to another can vary

Thanks Shocky.
According to Beedspeed's chart, the GP150 used a 118 main jet. With a Clubman exhaust, isn't it normal to have to increase the main jet size a couple of points or so? In which case, 120 is quite a lot higher than the 110 Chris mentioned as a starting point.
On the same chart, it shows the pilot jet as being a 45. Since the one already fitted in my carb is a 50, I should also change that, right?
