I have had problems with the lights on my Jet for about 5 years, changed the stator, voltage regulator, flywheel , loom put LED on rear and Standard bulb in front. It has been ok , visible rear and brake and safeish amount of light from the front light. The LEd rear has just packed in ( brake light part) so I renewed it with one of the multi led ones that are on sale on ebay. I have one on my GP and it works great. However...on the jet there isn't enough power to light it at low revs and tick over. It's only a front and rear light , what can be causing it to be so poor? Would it be worth taking the loom out and replacing it with a battery type? Does a halogen front bulb use less power than standard? (I'm sure I have used one in the past)

The multi LED board types will take more power than the bayonet fitting type and also Halogen headlights tend to be 35 watts or more whereas the standard Tungsten lamps were only 25 watts.
