Ok so I took the front end of my Luna apart and now I'm rebuilding it. Now its back together the lights and horn have packed in - I'm pretty sure I've wired it back up as it was before, and I've checked that its correct with others

So I've then checked I'm getting 12v up the purple wire from the loom which is the lights feed which it is.

I've checked the continuity between the main lights and the earth sockets on the bulb holder which are fine.

I've fitted an longer earth cable to go direct to the floor rather than my normal (and previously working fine ) earth point on the handle bars which has no effect.

I've carried out some continuity tests from the purple loom wire to other cables in the light holder and this is where I start to get confused. With the switch in 'side light' or 'on' position I have continuity to all wires on the bulb holder (bar green of course) from the purple. This includes both the full and dipped beam despite the fact that it should be one or the other, or neither when in side light position. With the lights 'off' I lose continuity to both full and dipped wires (blue and red) as expected

It kind of makes me think faulty light switch but nothing has happened to it since I stripped the bike - like it being dropped - its too coincidental for it to just brake like that. The only change to my previous set up is that I am no longer using a front brake light switch which I had built in to my loom and so I have taped these two wires up separately.

What should I do next?

Are you using an electronic kit for the power and if so I presume the purple is your only feed to the switch? Without pulling mine apart , isn't there a brown on the switch that needs power?

Yes you are right, just found my wiring diagram, the light feed is the brown and that feeds the purple.

I get the exact same behavior when checking the continuity between the brown loom and other wires as I have described for the purple. One thing that did interest me was that there was continuity from the bulb holder to the frame even with the earth point disconnected. Is that odd or expected?
