Poor, rich running,choke?

My usually spot on running series two has started to run really rich, to the point it starts to stall and is really hard to start. The only thing that I could find on inspection is that the choke might have been getting stuck on ever so slightly. Would this cause these symptoms? Tia :)

but also check air filter; rubber bellows; security of jets etc etc

Cheers bud, all seems well, have released the choke and about to take her for a spin, sounds ok on ticker though :D
