He got the engine from eBay.rapido 225..only trouble is scoot not registered and I have no receipt for it when he bought the wreck and the only other thing is there is no engine num stamped on it.does anyone know how to get around it so I can get it all registered..any advise would be gratefull.

Not having an engine number isn't a major thing. It's the frame that gives the scooter its identity. Having said that I would stamp something on there.
Don't know what to suggest as regards getting it registered. It could be tricky. You need to talk to someone like Rob Skipsey who handles that sort of thing. He's on FB. Or failing that I think he has an advert in Scootering.

A new engine will come with numbers but bare casings don't so engine must have been built up from empty casing. Possible that frame is a 150 and a previous owner transferred all the 150 engine internals to a new 200 casing and put a Rapido top end on it. Again don't know for certain but imagine that engine number isn't an issue.

Rob will tell you that you don't need the engine number to register the scooter only the Frame Number

Now that you have a Lambretta you should be thinking about joining the LCGB. It would be the most worthwhile 38p a week you will ever spend.
There is a wealth of knowledge on all things Lambretta, including registering Lambretta's:

Bought an Indian gp a few years back off Cambridge Lambretta and on v5 just said no number against engine number section as casing was un- stamped

as already stated, engine number not important, I have a bike and a trike and neither have numbers on, my old VW golf had "no visible numbers" on the V5 LOL
its the frame number that gives it the identity
would guess its just NOVA, dating certificate and v55/5 etc

Yep, I'm sure he can.
Best 38p a week that any Lambretta owner will ever spend. Would get half his first years membership fee back when using the LCGB registration process.
So that's 19p a week for the first 12 months. Bargain
