Hi,
dialing in my carb. Scooter is running very well, if anything, I can tell its slightly rich in the needle, I could probably move it one clip position. I took at a look at the plug. The colour is almost split down the middle, milky tea on one side, black on the other.

I've never had that before on a scooter. Any ideas?

800 km on a new gt200 iron cylinder and porcupine head. Head gasket is metal 0.5mm. I will go have a look for signs of fuel being blown out.

Doesn't the GT head have a blank plug in the centre position? is it tight?

I had a similar problem on a GT 186 kit with the centre plug not being tightened ( I assumed it was tight when I bought it ! )
Check that and as stated the gasket you have to loctite that central plug in .

Cheers

Correct in 1. Just took cowl off. I could almost unscrew the plug with my fingers. Will tocktite it in. What torque did you use? Because there is no gasket, 20 Nm? Also, I had a ring type heat sensor pick up around the base. Is this a problem, does it make it easier to not get a good seal?

THanks
