Just how much do you risk carrying?

After a puncture resulting in a spill coming home from Lincoln the other week, I am adamant that carrying two days worth of clobber, spares, oil, inflatable bed and large two man tent contributed to me losing control when otherwise I would've normally stayed upright. I was running tubeless too.

Every time I pack my holdall I lift it up and swear at it, no matter how much I attempt to skimp on stuff.

on a more serious note, if you load a large amount of weight on a rear rack hanging well out behind the back wheel, I think it's bound to come into play if you get a wobble on at the back

Especially if you are one that favours sitting as far back as possible on the seat as well :?

Did you have slime in the tyres as a matter of interest?

No, but I do now. The ironic thing is I bought 2 bottles from Halfrauds, went to get the valve insert out of my sip tubeless, and it only came so far & wouldn't entirely come out, so I didn't bother with the rear either, which is the one I had the puncture on!

Since contacted beedspeed & they sent a replacement valve out straight away.
