P200 slide

2 slides listed on Beedies for the 24mm Delly.

This one:

And this one, listed for a T5.
T5 one has 2 cutouts on the back, P200 one hasn't, Beedies say they are now the same slide, and a straight swap for each other.

Whats the Vespa peeps reckon?

i`d go for the one for a P2 mate not a T5 one if using in a 24/24E carb
saying this i use a T5 24/24G carb on my P2 fitted with a mallossi 210

the richer T5 slides often work better with kitted or tuned engines :)

The smaller the cutout on the underside of the slide, the richer it is. I went for this one to be on the safe side with my Pinasco and it completely cured the mild pinking I was getting

According to SIP:

"The throttle slide limits the flow of air to the engine. Its degree of opening is determined by turning the throttle grip. The further it is opened the more air can flow in. Some throttle slides have air pockets on the top side and cut sections (so-called 'cutaways') on the underside. These add additional air to the petrol mix and make it leaner as a result. The slides with the flat underside do not add any additional air and are therefore ideal for compensating a leaner middle range. To be able to comply with the required emissions values for the new PX, the SI carburettors that are currently available are fitted with a throttle slide with 2 additional air pockets. This attenuates the mix such that partial load pinking and piston jams can occur on tuned engines. The solution to this problem is to replace the throttle slide that is fitted with a thicker throttle valve without any air pockets (e.g. throttle slide SIP 04, part no 84920400). As of now, the SIP throttle slides are also available in the versions 4.1 (opening 50% of original size, slightlly richer in medium/low range) and 4.2 "


That would make the T5 slide leaner, which I think Is the problem I have.
They do a solid slide with no cut outs like a GP200 one, I might try one of them.

Thanks for that B2B. I've had a narrow band of pinging on my Pinasco 177 and tried everything to stop it, including the 4.1 slide. Going to order one and see how it goes.
