Hi,
want to go 5 clutch plates in my Jet200, and want to stick to standard steel thickness. If I want a part quickly (in Canada) I have to take what the suppliers in North America have on hand. One has a casa lambretta 46 tooth lightened crown in stock. It says it will fit 5 clutch plates, but no mention about standard steels or not. Anyone running this and can comment?

Tx in advance
David

I havent used one of these crown wheels but if its same depth as a normal one i would think you would need to use thinner steels to get clearence . Maybe you could ask the supplier to measure the depth for you so you can compare it.

that looks exactly like my camlam one and it is 3mm deeper
Im guessing all these Italian ones are made by the same company just rebranded
If it did fit you will need to consider your spring lengh as well some maybecome coil bound and not alow the pressure plate to go down far enough to release the clutch the solution could be a 5 plate pressure plate ?
However some pressure plates will not drop all the way down due to the radius inside the sprocket I simply ground the square edge (pressure plate) at 45deg untill the pressure plate sat on the bottom , some will say why go to all that effort why you can buy x, y or z clutch already done well I actually enjoy trial and error fitting ..... btw I couldn't fit an extra standard clutch and steel in there
