First scoot & first restoration

Try again with the rubbers and handles on. A bit of gentle persuasion with the flat of the hand usually gets them on.
Did you have to do that?

if they fitted before they will fit again! Probably a combination of new rubbers, panel clips and handles??

If you need a second pair of eyes just shout.

Just been reading this.Are you having trouble getting your side panels on?
I had excactly the same problem,tried three different rubbers,panels just would not go on.Then I got some from Scooter Restorations,they are slightly thinner,but with these on,the panels went on :D :D .

Are they the original panels?Are you using the original spring thingy?

I am pretty certain that these are the original panels but I'm not sure what you mean by the spring thingy tho?

Is that just a case of cutting it out with a dremmel or such? Danny at Scootopia has promised it will be his first job after the holidays lol, I have had a change of plan and he is now taking it out to a 175cc :)
