Pacemaker question?

Just got myself an early Li150 pacemaker on good old fleabay. Anyhow, didn't realise there was an early and a late model, I realise there's some concern over the third gear, particularly in high powered engines. Some say they are ok some say not. I have two scoots, one is a muggy 186 in my series 2 Li, that needs a box and I am about to do a ts1. What's your thoughts on using this box on either, given that I am not a racer, I am not in the habit of thrashing scoots.
I have a 200 casing arriving tomorrow for the Ts1 build and have the choice of a GP200 box or the Li Pacemaker to put in it. What's your thoughts on this?
Many thanks

'64 Pacemaker internals transferred into a large block casing and 15 years of abuse in a highly tuned engine without a problem !
Personally never seen a broken one yet.

Would yours be the early with the 'weak' third cog?

Just to balance the argument.
I had one in my ts1 200
now missing seven teeth on the third gear.

I'll make use of it somewhere, I have some old 150 casings with a 175 top end, might stick it in there

I've seen a few break over the years, but as you say it not only down to the power of the engine, how it's ridden is a much bigger factor.
I've broke teeth on strong LI150 Spanish boxes qhile on track but had the gearboxes last thousands of miles on the road.
