short inlet stud thread gubbed so i took barrel off and decoked, thought id match up the exhaust port to clubman manifold, lower edge of port is a good 2 mm above gasket/manifold, is it worth flowing lower edge as its not an obstruction, more a step, and im talking just the outside of the port, not altering the timing at all.
Also the short inlet stud thread is only 8mm, iron barrel is 12mm, is it the worst thing if i go in a little deeper, even if it risks breaking into inlet port?

Yes to both, drill hole deeper and loctite stud in. It won't hurt if it breaks thru, then grind it to match the port. Match the ex port outer to the gasket/ manifold.
