Thanks for all the advice on here, I've managed to find my first scoot. Was restored a little while ago, brought over from Italy in 2002. All matching numbers!
Now the fun begins. Nobody tell the wife!

Lovely looking scooter there.
With regards to the "A" plate I have to disagree with dave411- for some reason a reregistered "A" plate doesn't look quite right in my opinion. Obviously there is nothing wrong with it, but back in the day, very few local Councils issued "A" plates (here in Bristol they came in v late in 1964 on a "B" I think). Andy's bike has a reissued old "Bristol" number (the "HW" part) and would have been inspected at the old Bristol, Stoke Gifford local DVLA before it was closed- small World!
Great looking bike at an apparent bargain- Good Luck with the wife- you'll soon be having spares sent to friends houses and invoices doctored for a lot less!
I'll get me anorak!!
best
Chris

I saw that on eBay, thought it looked pretty good. Two bits of advice:
1) Ditch the red grips and mudflap ...... euccchhh
2) Ditch the mirror mounts. Guaranteed to break the headset top. eventualy.

Agree about the mirrors but like the grips and they are comfy

Thanks for that. Perhaps it's original home in Britain wasn't too far away from me in Taunton then?
I concur with not feeling the love for the redness too. The levers are off already & the mudflap won't be far behind. I'm not massively keen on the badge on front mudguard. It's plasticky and appears slightly wonky too.
Thanks for the tip re mirror mounts. Shopping list, anyone?

Agree about the bumper bar badge too. Go to Lambrettarestore website for a decent handlebar mounted mirror.

Cheers Daggs will do. Just discovered that my non working rear light is because someone used a couple of wood shims to hold the bulb in! It's quite loose so I presume wrong size bulb has been bodged in

Possibly, but some remade reflector/bulbholders appear to made from Bacofoil ................
