local chap brought in his scooter the other day ,wanted it checking and dyno,d cos he had just fitted a brand new 30mm delly carb.supposedly pre jetted to suit and from a well known yorkshire scooter shop..(no names) but he had paid the extra for it to be jetted initially to the spec of his engine !.
Anyways ,thought i would just strip it and check what was in it cos although it would easily start up it just bogged within a few seconds with vast amounts of spit back and fuel !
i expected to find a huge atomiser in it ,prob an AV 268 ...but imagine my suprise to find that it didnt have an atomiser in it at all lol...never seen that before !

I've bought a number of new carbs that were supposed to be correctly jetted for a specific engine and none have ever been anywhere near correctly jetted. Indeed, I only know of one instance where a clubmate bought a new pre-jetted carb and it was supplied correctly set up and ready to fit.

No atomiser takes the biscuit though (lol)!
