Peoples experience of the Casa 185?

Got a Casa 185 kit arriving in the next couple of days for my series 2. Was wondering what people think of it. Going to run it with a 26 Delly and a clubman ex. Tia.

Not sure about the 26mm carb. They are quite a conservative kit and you might not gain a great deal from a larger carb. But they are a good kit and pull really well. I run one and it's smooth and surprisingly revvy.

My daily rider.....25mm carb through the air box, 42 mm clubman. Great piece of Kit. G.

Built a couple for Friends both Standardish carbs and Clubman type pipes , both impressed , quite torquey and will run all day at a good pace

I have it with a 25mm Dellorto and a 42mm AF Clubman running through a BGM modified standard airbox. It runs fine, but not what you'd call fast. Maxes out around 55mph (true GPS) and has been set up and dynoed by JB Tuning at around 10bhp

Been running one for about 4 years now,no problems.I run a 22mm jetex carb through a drilled airbox and 42mm clubman exhaust.

Yeah, I heard top end wasn't so good but what's it like low dow? For nipping about town? My problem is that I have a fast Mugello 198 so will be comparing

It's fine - I can only compare it to my other scooter, which is an LML 150 2T with a SIP exhaust (pretty much the same as a PX150), and I'd say the performance of them is broadly the same.

I had one of the early casa kit and it did what it was designed to do. A strait upgrade for a 125 or 150 with no other changes out of the box.. It defiantly was not a screamer but pulled like a train. I ran a 125 that had the kit fitted with everything else standard except for a 12 volt kit. It ran the 125 box and the original crank with a 22mm jetex. Over time the standard pope was replaced with a costerlotti. That improved it no end but it still hit a brick wall rev wise. As a new kit at the time no one had started to mess around with them. I changed to a bored out 26 mm jetex and raised and widened the exhaust ports and it was running very well when it was stolen. I did the IOW on it and ran with the club Muggy guys and standard SX and GP 200 giving great mpg and pulling very low gearing, that left me going up hills in 3rd gear while others were going backwards in 2nd. I'm sure an expansion pipe a a bit of fettling would produce a lot more from what was a plug and play kit. I was convinced to get a Muggy for my current ride and yes it goes but I have had 3 Pistons doing what the Casa did with ease.
