I've been using ngk B7es on my gt186 kit with porcupine head.

It has just occurred to me that I don't know if they are the correct thread length or not.

Anyone know for sure?

Yes correct length but I'd have thought you should be using a cooler plug, a B8 for instance, even though the head must have much better cooling properties.

I was just using b7 while running in. Changing to b8es now which is what got me thinking.
