Hello

I'd like to fit one of dem dere modern sealed 12V batteries to my series 1 Lamby, and would like to mount it in the original tray.
I've had a lil butcher's on the web but can't find anything around 4 or 5 AH that'd fit. I believe the original battery was 122 long x 46 wide. The width is the killer I think, smaller tray than a series 3.
Anyone tried this with any success?

cheers

Having a series 1 I went down the same route. The tray and clearance between the tank and air box is a bit tight. I opted for a small 2 amp one that was very low. I had looked at putting 2 stood on there ends as they would have fitted but I found the small battery worked fine. I am full wassel DC and ran all my lights digital speedo get without issue. The 50w pathfinder would also runoff a good period but not indefinitely. If you are trickle charging and running AC you will need a bigger battery.

Thanks for your replies chaps.
Looks like a lil 2AH one would suit me too. I'm using a Wassell rectifier/ regulator and will only be running lights n me orn from the battery. I should be able to cobble a bit of bent metal if necessary.

Cheers
